Welcome to the Mile High City! Whatever brings you to our beautiful Queen City of the Rockies, we’re glad you’re here! Or, if you’re just now planning your trip, we’ve got you covered. For the ‘high-minded’ planners: we know you’re thinking about cannabis tours in Denver and how you can best experience Colorado while elevated.

After you’ve taken your Colorado cannabis tour, walked through a grow, bought a wide array of flowers, concentrates, and delicious edibles — you might want to know about some great things to do around the Mile High City, after you consume!

(Remember: while cannabis is legal to purchase, if you’re 21+ of course, you cannot consume it anywhere publicly in the state of Colorado. So, head back to your place of lodging to elevate!)

Ok, now you’re ready to explore! Here’s a list of our “Top 5 Things To Do”, either on a cannabis tour in Denver or on your own while elevated:

#1 – Visit River North Art District & Street Art Murals

Crush Walls PicOnce a year, the CRUSH Walls festival brings in street artists from around the world as well as hundreds of local artists to paint murals all over an entire neighborhood of the city.  With great restaurants and bars up and down Larimer Street in the River North Art District (RiNo), you could spend a whole afternoon just exploring the street art in all of the alleys. In addition, this neighborhood has over ten microbreweries and many local eateries to indulge in if you’re looking to curb your munchies.

#2 – Ride a Scooter or E-Bike Down the Platte River Trail or Cherry Creek Path:

Cherry Creek Bike PathBe sure to take advantage of our 300 days of sunshine and get by the water! Start at the REI flagship store at Confluence Park and take the Platte River path (north or south), or the Cherry Creek path east as the below street level paths take you along the creek. With over 100 miles of bike paths to follow along rivers and creeks – you can spend your whole day exploring the city on two wheels. We recommend renting bikes at Confluence Kayak, their team will take great care of you!

#3 – Visit the Denver Art Museum or the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA)

Denver Art Museum 2Our two mainstay museums are chock-full of incredible art to take in while elevated. The Museum of Contemporary Art has a rooftop café where you can satisfy your munchies with a view! Amazingly, the Denver Art Museum in the museum-Broadway district has no exterior 90 degree angles! The building itself is a work of art and what’s inside is even better.

#4 – Take a Hike at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Red Rocks Scaled E1615944532622Situated about 30 minutes from downtown (but still technically part of Denver), the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre is known for hosting the world’s top performers in its unique and natural setting. But, you don’t need a ticket to explore the city park during the day! Entry is free and there are tons of hiking trails all around the incredible rock formations.

#5 – Take a Walk Around Denver Botanic Gardens

Botanic Gardens

No matter the season, the gardens are a wonderful place to explore! With both indoor and outdoor facilities, the world of plants is in the heart of Denver. In the winter months the gardens are aglow with an interactive light display. From the bonsai to the tropical fruit trees, Denver Botanic Gardens is a great place to enjoy the Mile High!
Let City Sessions give you a taste of the hidden dispensary gems around the city on one of our Denver cannabis tours. After you’ve gotten a taste, enjoy the rest of your stay exploring the Mile High!
