Today, July 11th (7/11), 7-Eleven will be giving out free small slurpees between 11am and 7pm. It is also the 50th birthday of the Slurpee so the chain has decided to release a birthday cake flavored slurpee, birthday cake slurpee doughnuts & candy, among other celebratory treats. This Saturday and Sunday, July 16th – 17th, will be the Pearl Street Arts Fest in Downtown Boulder. This beautiful and scenic location is the perfect spot to have an outdoor gallery featuring artists that work in an array of mediums. There will also be a Open Studios Mobile Art Lab that will bring instruction and inspiration to art students of all ages on the Courthouse lawn. For all you Lavender lovers out there, this Saturday, July 16th, is the Lavender Festival at Denver Botanic Gardens’ Chatfield Farms in Littleton. The stunning Lavender Garden consists of over 800 plants that were planted in 2015, marking this as the first official Lavender Festival for the Denver Botanic Gardens. From 10am to 6pm they will be celebrating all things lavender with products made by local growers and artisans, food & drinks, as well as some educational classes including ‘Cooking Creations with Lavender’ that are limited seating.
