For those of you who love animated film, The Denver Nickel + Dime Animation Extravaganza is this Friday, July 7th, at the Sie Filmcenter. This animation festival will feature 30 animated shorts from around the world with 15 directors making an appearance. This film fest is for adult audiences and will contain mature content. (I.E. “naughty language” and “visuals of naughty extremities” and “naughty cartoon violence.”). This weekend, our favorite traveling neighborhood festival, TheBigWonderful, is coming to The Stanley Marketplace starting on Friday, July 7th, through Sunday, July 8th. Kicking off the festivities with an evening of Beerfest, Bands, and BBQ with 20 participating breweries & distilleries giving out samples. Then continuing the fun through the weekend with Bands and Bazaars so you can shop, eat, and enjoy the beautiful Colorado sunshine with good people. For those of you who love beer, the 21st Annual Biergarten Festival is taking place down in Morrison this Friday, July 7th, through Sunday, July 8th. This cultural event will be reminiscent of a traditional German Biergarten, with German foods, live music, dance, and plenty of beer! Come down in your best Lederhosen and Dirndls, and sip beer with friends under the summer sun. Put your drinking to the test at the Stein Hoisting competition on Saturday, and enjoy the 2nd Biergarten Dachshund race on Sunday. This Saturday, July 9th, is the summer kick-off of the 4th year of Meet in the Street at the 16th Street Mall.
