Finally Summer is here! After a 100 degree weekend like we just had, it is actually starting to settle in. To kick off the first week of summer is SeriesFest Season 2, a celebration dedicated to showcasing the best new pilots from established and emerging content creators right here in Denver, the birthplace of cable television. This weeklong fest begins Wednesday, June 22nd, at Red Rocks with a live performance from SIA and The Hunt. The celebration continues through Sunday, June 26th at the SIE Filmcenter with showings and panels daily spread across 3 theaters. This week is also the Denver Public Library Used Book Sale from Wednesday, June 22nd, through Saturday, June 25th at the Denver Central Library from 10am to 4pm. This giant sale will not only be selling books, but CD’s and DVD’s as well. All of the money raised will be going to Denver’s Public Library system, and last year they raise $45,000 over the four days. Admission is free and will be taking place inside of the Library this year on the 1st and basement levels. The Saturday, June 25th is the 22nd Annual Westword Music Showcase at the Golden Triangle This awesome event goes from noon until 10am, showcasing both local and national musicians on two stages for a day full of music, fun, and celebrating the Denver scene. This Weekend, June 24th through the 26th is the 16th Street Fair at the 16th Street Mall! This annual celebration of handcrafted goods, local art, and the 16th street mall is a great way to stretch your legs, explore, and discover some really cool treasures. This local event will go from 11am until 7pm and is first of two 16th Street Fairs (the second fair is the weekend of August 12th & 13th). We highly recommend you nibble on Mt.
