The end of this crazy election season is finally in sight! If you haven’t already turned in your ballot, please do not forget to do so. Tuesday, November 8th, is Election Day and what better way to watch the election coverage than over some drinks with people to help you take it all in? The Colorado Democrats will be hosting a free official election night party starting at 7:00 pm at the Denver Westin with a cash bar. The Colorado Republicans will be hosting their party at the Denver Tech Center DoubleTree by Hilton with tickets going for $20 (can be purchase on eventbrite.com) and there will be a cash bar. If you are undecided or just want to be unaffiliated, there will be a free nonpartisan Election Night Party at the Oriental Theater starting at 6:00 pm. Denver’s Art Week will be continuing this week through Sunday, November 13th. There is a Denver Film Fest that will be hosted by the Denver Film Society at the SIE FilmCenter through Sunday, November 13th, with a lineup of over 250 amazing blockbusters, documentaries, shorts, and indie films. The Denver Art Museum will be hosting the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit starting this Sunday, November 13th, and will explore the artistry of the world’s most recognized cinematic costumes. There will also be some Hidden Gems for the Denver Arts Week where you can go behind the scenes of Denver’s art world with workshops, meet-ups with Artists, among other events. This Friday, November 11th, is Veteran’s Day so don’t forget to thank any veterans you know for their service. Denver will be hosting a Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday, November 12th, from 10:00 am to noon at Civic Center Park. This year, the parade will be representing different conflicts in military history including the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, etc. All the Veterans’ organizations will march together to showcase each conflict with their historic roots and will include military memorabilia from each era including weapons, uniforms, and vehicles.
