This film festival was inspired and is run by adventurers, artists, filmmakers and activists who believe in the power of the story of adventure, awakening to change and challenging the world we live in. With a weekend full of inspirational films, workshops and a street fair that will be playing live music and serving up beers, gear and plenty of food. Now that fall has begun, everyone is going to want to show off their secret chili recipes and Denver’s firefighters are no exception, this Friday, September 30th, is the 29th Annual Firefighter Chili Cook-off at Larimer Square in downtown Denver from 11am till 2pm! With each bowl at only a couple bucks and all the benefits going towards the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), what better way is there to spend some time this Saturday afternoon. For those of you who view the body as a canvas, the Colorado Tattoo Convention and Expo is this weekend from Friday, September 30th, through Sunday, October 2nd, at the National Western Complex! There will be live body modification demos (tattoos, piercings, etc), a battle of the barbers & stylists, custom car shows, a pin-up fashion show,  burlesque, and so much more while live music keeps the energy flowing. This weekend will also be the first weekend of the Denver Beer Fest that will begin on Friday, September 30th and will continue through till Sunday, October 8th. There will be dozens of events going on around the 100 brewpubs, breweries, restaurants and tap-houses in the Denver Metro area including Midnight beer breakfast, beer bike rides, brewery tours, beer quizzes and tap takeovers.
