For all you lovers of film and electronic music, you won’t want to miss out on the Tangerine Dream Series that begins this Saturday, July 30th, at the SIE filmcenter presented by LivWell. Over a 50 year career, Tangerine Dream was one of the first groups to popularize electronic music especially within the medium of cinema. The Denver Film Society and LivWell are excited to showcase for you the top 5 cult movies of which Tangerine Dream was a part of. For lovers of the Arts, the Denver Art Museum has paired up with the Central City Opera for a fusion of music and art called Later the Same Evening this Saturday, July 30th. Inspired by Edward Hopper’s classic American paintings, this One-Act Opera brings to life his paintings for a single night in 1932 New York City. Beginning at 7pm, there will be a short lecture on the artist and some insight into the paintings that will be featured in the Opera that begins at 8pm. There will be 130 juried artists from around the country showcasing their works in the beautiful Cheesman Park in the uptown neighborhood!
